Penn State has announced details of the university Blue Band Tailgreat Show and other pre-game events Saturday near Beaver Stadium.
Activities will begin about 10 a.m., five and a half hours before the Nittany Lions’ game against the Temple Owls kicks off. Booths providing food, games and giveaways will open as part of the Penn State Street Festival along Curtin Road.
By 11:30 a.m., Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will open to offer its food and facilities to the public. And at 1 p.m., the Bryce Jordan Center will host a free, public performance by the Penn State Glee Club.
Immediately thereafter, the Blue Band Tailgreat Show will begin inside the center. At 1:50 p.m., the Penn State team buses will depart on Porter Road for the stadium.
Other Saturday highlights near Beaver Stadium include these:
- Penn State Tailgate Show radio broadcast, to begin live at 2 p.m. at the Penn State Street Festival. Steve Jones, Jack Ham and Roger Corey will deliver pre-game analysis and take fans’ questions.
- March by the Blue Band and Penn State cheerleaders, to begin at 2:30 p.m. They’ll march down Curtin Road and into the stadium.
The pre-game show inside Beaver Stadium will begin at 3:10 p.m. Radio coverage will be delivered through the Penn State Sports Network; television coverage will be carried live on the Big Ten Network.
