A Penn State student who fell on Friday from the roof of a house in State College died from electrocution, Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said.
Shannon Mathers, 21, of Warrington, Pa., was on the roof of a three-story house near the corner of South Barnard Street and West College Avenue at about 6 p.m. Friday with several other people when she fell.
State College Police Lt. Brad Smail said the preliminary investigation found she had touched a high-voltage wire before falling.
An autopsy was conducted Saturday by the coroner’s office which determined the cause of death to be electrocution.
‘There doesn’t appear to have been foul play involved,’ Smail added.
