PennDOT District 2 will hold a job fair this week in Centre County for prospective employees to learn about wintertime job opportunities.
The job fair will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the PennDOT Centre County Maintenance Office, 1000 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte.
Available winter positions include: CDL operators, who must have valid PA CDL Class A or B with the Air Brake Restriction (L) lifted; diesel/automotive mechanics, who must have a CDL; clerks, tradesman helpers, and construction inspectors.
Staff will be on hand to help with the online application system for civil- and non-civil service jobs. Potential applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes.
“We’re always looking for reliable people who take pride in a job well done”, PennDOT District Executive Karen L. Michael said in a news release “Come visit us to learn how these jobs offer permanent employment with benefits and retirement, advancement opportunities, and the potential to work close to home.”
