Hundreds of families turned out Sunday evening for the 66th annual Centre Region Halloween Costume Parade, held in downtown State College.
Many also attended the first Spookfest, held earlier in the day at the Centre LifeLink headquarters in College Township. The new event, hosted by LifeLink, the State College Spikes and B94.5, was free to the public and benefited the State College Food Bank.
A crowd estimated at more than 300 people attended the three-hour event, which included games, prizes and a haunted ambulance. Attendees provided about 400 pounds of canned goods for the food bank.
The Halloween Costume Parade, meanwhile, is hosted by the State College Lions Club and Centre Region Parks and Recreation. It wound its way through downtown State College before ending at Memorial Field.
Photos from both events are included in the image galleries below. StateCollege.com Managing Editor William Derrick attended Spookfest; Onward State photographer and editor Dave Cole, the parade.
