On the eve of the Penn State fall semester, at least a couple rainbows brightened the skies above the State College area Sunday evening.
About 5 p.m., one was visible above U.S. Route 322 near Port Matilda, on the west side of Skytop.
Then, around 7:30 p.m., another rainbow materialized above the College Heights area in State College borough.
StateCollege.com managed to capture a few shaky images on the fly, thanks to a built-in BlackBerry camera. They’re posted in the gallery to the right.
Anyone with other photos of these — or of other State College-area rainbows seen over the weekend — is welcome and encouraged to share the images with StateCollege.com. Please send them to adam.smeltz@statecollege.com, mention ‘rainbow’ in the subject line and indicate whether we may post them on the website.
We’ll be sure to highlight reader submissions on the StateCollege.com homepage, and to give credit to the photographers.
