Earlier coverage, posted @ 8:26 p.m. Sept. 27:

An 18-wheel tractor-trailer flipped over Tuesday evening on the Mount Nittany Expressway between East College Avenue and Boalsburg, witnesses said.

The truck appeared to have been westbound on the expressway — part of U.S. Route 322 — before crashing through some guardrails and flipping on the eastbound side of the highway, people at the scene said.

It seems to have happened around 7 p.m. at or near a sharp curve.

Traffic on that stretch of the expressway has been affected. About 8 p.m., eastbound traffic was temporarily halted as emergency responders worked at the scene, trying to move the disabled tractor-trailer under rainy conditions.
