Two Centre Hall men were arrested Wednesday on charges accusing them of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl in separate incidents at a Penns Valley residence.
The girl told investigators that on March 21 Raymond E. Walker, 18, exposed himself to her and placed her hand on his genitals without consent, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by state police at Rockview.
Later that day, Raymond L. Warner, 44, made comments to the girl about what she would look like nude and said he wanted to have sex with her, she told police. He followed her into a bedroom where he allegedly kissed, groped, digitally penetrated and attempted to rape her. The girl said she punched Warner but was too weak to fight him off.
Police responded to the residence on the morning of March 22 after being contacted by a person who received a text message from the girl stating that Warner was trying to have sex with her, according to the affidavit.
Warner denied the accusations during an interview with investigators.
He is charged with felony counts of attempted rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault, and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault.
Warner was arraigned by District Judge Gregory Koehle, who denied bail, and is detained at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
Walker is charged with misdemeanor counts of indecent assault and indecent exposure. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
Preliminary hearings for both men are scheduled for Jan. 17.
