Penn State Police reported Wednesday they are investigating two racially motivated criminal mischief incidents in Brumbaugh and Shunk halls on campus.
The incident in Brumbaugh Hall occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 when a racially motivated message was spray painted in a stairwell, police said, and the incident in Shunk Hall occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Jan. 28 and 12:15 a.m. Jan. 29 when a permanent marker was used to write a racially motivated message on a bulletin board.
Police did not say what the racially motivated slurs said.

Anonymous tips can be submitted via ‘Silent Witness.’ Individuals providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County CrimeStoppers, according to police.
