State College police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person who placed extremist stickers around the downtown earlier this week.

The individual pictured above posted the stickers on public streetlight and traffic signal poles early Tuesday morning, police wrote in a statement on Friday.

A department spokesperson declined to provide further information about the nature of the stickers.

“We do not wish to facilitate the promotional goal of the suspect organization,” Capt. Greg Brauser wrote in an email.

Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous
tip online.

In 2021, someone vandalized the mural at the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza in downtown State College with the name and logo of a white supremacist group. Police and community members have offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in that case. No arrests have been made to date.
