Initial reports suggested that the student had been assaulted and beaten once, at roughly 2:30 a.m. Dec. 9 outside the restaurant, 442 E. College Ave.

But new information shows that the student was attacked two times that night at the location, each time by a different party, police said.

According to a news release, the first assailant was a white, college-age man accompanied by two other white men and a white female. The assailant in that first attack has not been identified, police said.

The two assailants appear to be unconnected, and the victim does not appear to know either of them, police indicated. He has since returned to classes.
