A Penn State student is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly selling drugs to a state police confidential informant in State College.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Hollidaysburg, the informant made three controlled purchases from Alexis R. Jefferson, 21.
Police said the first purchase occurred on Nov. 7, 2016, at an East Beaver Avenue residence and that Jefferson sold the informant a bag of marijuana for $45. A second buy occurred at the residence on Dec. 5, when Jefferson sold a bag of marijuana to the informant for $250, according to the complaint. The informant reportedly told police that Jefferson took marijuana from a larger bag he estimated to weigh about a pound and measured out the informant’s purchase.
On Dec. 8, the informant reportedly arranged a purchase of 10 pills of Concerta, a stimulant used to treat attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Police said the informant met Jefferson on the fourth floor of Pattee Library on the University Park campus, where she sold him the pills for $60.
Jefferson was charged with three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance.
She was arraigned on Friday before District Judge Thomas Jordan and unsecured bail was set at $20,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
