Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Bank Robber

State College police have released surveillance photos showing a man who held up a bank in Boalsburg Thursday afternoon.

Investigators hope someone will recognize the robber and help them make an arrest.

Police received a report of a bank robbery just before 2:30 p.m. at the First National Bank in the 400 block of Boal Avenue.

Bank employees reported that a man wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and dark pants entered through the front door.

Witnesses told police the man came from the area of East Main Street and was on foot prior to entering the bank.

The robber had his hood up, a mesh-type of cloth covering his face, and a dark colored bag with him. He approached a teller and demanded money but did not display a weapon, according to police.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen headed north toward the area of East Main Street and Boal Avenue.
