A motorist allegedly was assaulted Monday in a road-rage incident on Blue Course Drive, Ferguson Township police reported.
It happened about 5 p.m. at the Martin Street intersection, according to a police report. Police said the reported victim had been driving north on Martin Street when another vehicle — a late-model pick-up truck — cut him off.
The victim ‘flashed his lights at the truck after being cut off,’ the police report reads. ‘The victim then switched lanes and continued.’
When the victim stopped at the Martin Street-Blue Course Drive intersection, police said, the pick-up driver allegedly halted his own vehicle, exited the truck, smashed a window out of the victim’s car and assaulted him.
Police are asking any witnesses — and anyone else with information helpful to the investigation — to call them at (814) 237-1172.
They described the suspect as a white male driving a late-model, dark-blue or gray truck — possibly a Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC Sierra. The pick-up truck had a cap, according to the police report.
