Saquon Barkley and Girlfriend Anna Congdon Welcome Baby Girl

It’s certainly a life-changing week for Saquon Barkley.

Anticipating becoming a top-five NFL Draft pick would be momentous enough for anyone, but on Tuesday Barkley also became a new dad.

Barkley’s girlfriend, Anna Congdon, gave birth to their first child, a girl they’ve named Jada Clare Barkley. Barkley made the official announcement on Instagram.

‘Words can’t even describe how I feel right now,’ Barkley wrote. ‘You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Thank God for blessing me with you in my life and into my arms. I pray that I can be the best father to you and help you grow into an amazing woman. I love you so so so much #DaddysLittleGirl Jada Clare Barkley 4.24.18’

Congdon made the public announcement in March that she was pregnant and due in April.

Marcus Allen, Barkley’s Penn State teammate and likely fellow NFL Draft pick, will be the godfather.

Barkley will be in attendance at that NFL Draft, which begins on Thursday. He could become the first running back to be drafted No. 1 overall since another Nittany Lion great, Ki-Jana Carter, was taken with the first pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1995.
