Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has signed with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports for contract negotiation and marketing, as first reported by ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell.
“It was a really easy decision,” Barkley said. “A lot of people came around my way, but they were focused on me and they did a great job at selling my family on setting me up for life, bringing value outside of football. I felt like it was harder for other agencies to pitch that family feel when they were working with 30 or 40 guys.”

Barkley will be represented by Roc Nation’s Kim Miale, who also counts Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant among her clients. Roc Nation Sports represents some of the biggest names in sports, including Kevin Durant, Todd Gurley, Leonard Fournette, and Yoenis Cespedes, among many others.
Barkley announced on Dec. 31 his decision to forgo his senior season at Penn State. He is widely considered the top running back and a potential top five pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
