Sean Lee Reportedly Tears ACL, Will Miss Most If Not All Of NFL Season

Former Nittany Lion Sean Lee will likely miss some if not all of the 2014 NFL season after tearing his ACL on Tuesday according to multiple NFL outlets. 

Lee, a Dallas Cowboy linebacker did not suffer a multi-ligament tear which should allow for a relatively quick recovery although it is likely the rising star will miss the entire season. Lee was injured during Cowboy workouts on Tuesday and was seen being carried off the field by medical personnel.

The injury is the latest in a growling list for Lee, who has missed 15 games over the last two seasons due to wrist, neck and hamstring problems.

When healthy, Lee is considered by many to be one a rising star and one of the best linebackers in the game today. Lee signed a contract extension prior to last season worth roughly $7 million per year over the span of a six year deal. The new deal could earn Lee even more money but unfortunately for him it is dependent on his ability to stay healthy and on the field for at least 80 percent of the Cowboys’ snaps each year.

Lee has 294 tackles and 11 interceptions and 2 touchdowns to his name through four years of his NFL career.
