Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued In State College Area

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning through 8:30 p.m. tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Southwestern Centre County through 8 p.m. tonight.

Around 7 p.m., radar showed severe thunderstorms moving southeast at speeds of 45 miles per hour. The storms may produce damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. 

The National Weather Service urges residents to move inside and stay indoors until the severe weather has passed. It is also advised to report any hail, strong winds or wind damage to the National Weather Service through their Facebook page or on Twitter.
