Local doo-wop group Rama-Lama on Thursday helped raise money for Centre County PAWS by singing table to table at American Ale House & Grill.
Development and marketing director Christine Faust has led fundraising efforts for years at PAWS, the non-profit animal shelter in State College, but said this event was special.
‘I think it’s a unique way to raise funds, and what’s better than supporting animals and hearing great people singing to you?’ Faust said.
Rama-Lama member Jeff Brown suggested the idea and was happy with the way the event turned out.
‘It’s just so doggone much fun,’ Brown said. ‘We just get together and have a great time and don’t take ourselves to seriously.’
