A 17-year-old male from State College sustained a head laceration after the bike he was riding collided with a car Monday morning.
The bicyclist was traveling eastbound within the 100 block of East Foster Avenue, approaching the intersection and stop sign at the end of South Pugh Street. He didn’t stop at the stop sign, police said, which caused the collision.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, driving a 2005 Subaru, was heading southbound on South Pugh Street toward East Foster and collided with the bicyclist, who said told police he was simply ‘not paying attention.’
The accident was reported at 10:54 a.m. Monday and police said no substance abuse is suspected in the incident, but the bicyclist was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center where he was treated for a head laceration and brush burns.
The investigation is closed, police said.
