Friday, Jan. 21
Movies
New to theatres this week is ‘No Strings Attached,’ starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. This romantic comedy tells the story of a man and woman who try to prove that sex can’t destroy a friendship.
‘The Green Hornet’ was No. 1 in the box office last week and still has people talking. Funnyman-turned-action-star Seth Rogan plays a spoiled party boy who stops a robbery and becomes a superhero.

Sports
Penn State men’s volleyball plays a conference match against Saint Francis at 7 p.m. in Rec Hall.
Late Night
The G-Man is hosting Team Trivia tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., as well as $5 Bud Light and Long Island iced-tea pitchers until midnight.
Saturday, Jan. 22
Outdoor
Come learn new skills like ice skating and snowshoeing at Black Moshannon’s Annual Winter Festival. The festival, located at Black Moshannon State Park, lasts from noon until 4 p.m. with scheduled events such as ice skating, broom ball, ice miniature golf, snow sculpture building and sledding. Attendees can borrow snowshoes and cross-country skis throughout the day. Don’t let the cold weather scare you off; the festival will feature fire pits for warming up and roasting marshmallows.
Food
Wine-tini Weekend has returned to the Nittany Mall. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Winery at Wilcox in the Nittany Mall, you can enjoy a specialty wine drink and a complimentary wine glass for $5. Wine-tini Weekend also includes snacks, door prizes and free hand massages provided by the Kneading Body Spa.
Bald Eagle Area Drama Club is hosting a ‘Dessert Cabaret’ tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the high school’s cafeteria. Tickets cost $7 in advance and $8 at the door. Students and directors provide the entertainment.
Bryce Jordan Center
WWE RAW begins its world tour tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center. The event features favorite RAW wrestlers John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, The Miz, Wade Barrett, Ted DiBiase and many more. The show begins at 7:30 and ticket prices start at $18. Tickets can be purchases at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Theatre Downtown and online at the Bryce Jordan Center’s website.
Sports
Penn State hockey steps on the ice at the Penn State Ice Rink at 3:30 p.m. to tackle West Chester.
Penn State women’s gymnastics takes on New Hampshire at 7 p.m. in Rec Hall.
Penn State men’s gymnastics host No. 6-ranked Michigan in Rec Hall at 7 p.m.
Late Night
It’s comedy night at P.J. Harrigan’s Bar & Grill, featuring Joe Eberle and Bil Benden and $1.75 Miller Lite drafts.
Bar Bleu has half-price “happies” tonight from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. as well as $5 fish bowls until midnight.
Local Motion’s DJ Kid A.V. is at Indigo tonight along with $5 dollar Bud Light pitchers and $2 drafts.
Sunday, Jan. 23
Outdoor
With fresh snow on the ground, today is a great day to head to Slab Cabin Park on Elmwood Street. Conditions permitting, the slope is open during the day as well as under the lights from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Performance
The Eisenhower Auditorium hosts the TheatreworksUSA production “Click, Clack, Moo.” The musical comedy tells the story of a herd of cows who go on strike, and inform their farmer with a laptop. The technologically advanced cows relay computer messages to the farmer via a duck, and before long the strike becomes a whole-barn affair. The tickets for this musical about compromise are $18 for adults, $13 for those 18 and under, and $8 for Penn State students.
Sports
Penn State women’s basketball plays Indiana at 2 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Movies
If you’re planning on hibernating today, check out ‘Takers,’ starring Hayden Christensen and Paul Walker. New to DVD, the movie features bank robbers who bungle their last big heist.
Robert DeNiro and Edward Norton are also on DVD this week in ‘Stone,’ a dark movie that portrays the journey of two men toying with the line between lawman and lawbreaker.
