Friday, March 30

Movies

In ’21 Jump Street,’ a pair of underachieving cops are sent back to a local high school to blend in and bring down a synthetic drug ring This movie is playing at the College 9 Theatre and UEC 12 Theater .

In ‘Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax-2D,’ a 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world. This movie is playing at  the College 9 Theatre and UEC 12 Theater.

Bars and Clubs

The Autoport will host happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Keena Corbett will perform at 8 p.m.

At Bar Bleu, happy hour will run from 10 p.m. to midnight. Lowjack will play starting at 10:30 p.m.

Biscuit Jam will play the Bar in Boalsburg at 10 p.m.

And at the Gingerbread Man, DJ Boner will entertain starting at 10 p.m.

Community Events and Performing Arts

Rodney Laney will appear for a comedy event at 9 p.m. at Celebration Hall. He will appear again Saturday night.

Black Coffee at Red Horse Tavern (Pleasant Gap) will be returning for a FREE all ages show at 9 p.m.

Sports

The Penn State men’s tennis team will take on Iowa at 3 p.m.

Saturday, March 31

Community Events and Performing Arts

The Pact is a quirky, bromantic comedy featuring two brothers who make a pact: No women for a year! It will premier at the State Theatre at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

The Stray Birds are a group of young musicians have crafted an original sound that draws upon the richness of American folk music traditions. They perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for Well Being, located at 123 Mount Nittany Road in Lemont.

Sports

The Penn State men’s lacrosse team will host Villanova at 1 p.m.

The Penn State softball team will play a doubleheader against Purdue starting at 1 p.m.

Sunday, April 1

Community Events and Performing Arts

Here’s your last chance to catch two ballets, Carnival of the Animals and The Four Seasons in an hour-long performance perfect for the whole family,

Two performances only – Saturday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $12/adults and $8/child. Tickets can be purchased by calling 814.234-4961 or at the door.

The Magic School Bus LIVE! The Climate Challenge, will be shown at 2 p.m. at Eisenhower Auditorium.

The Penn State men’s tennis team will take on Nebraska at 1 p.m.
