Friday, Nov. 25

Movies

In ‘A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas,’ the famous duo returns to burn down — inadvertently — a prized Christmas tree belonging to Harold’s father-in-law. This movie is showing at the UEC 12 Theater

‘Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football’ chronicles the story of a predominantly Arab-American high-school football team as it practices — during Ramadan — for a key game. This film is showing through Nov. 28 at the State Theatre.

Bars and Clubs

The Autoport in State College will have happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. The Emily Mathis Jazz Trio is scheduled to perform. 

At Bar Bleu in State College, happy hour will run from 9 to 11 p.m. Lowjack will play starting at 10:30 p.m.

In Toftrees, the Down Under Steakhouse will host happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; Bethanne and Dick will play at 8 p.m. And at the Gingerbread Man in State College, DJ Boner will entertain starting at 10 p.m.; happy hour will run from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Saturday, Nov. 26

Community Events and Performing Arts

Biscuit Jam — along with guests to include Paul Amato — is scheduled to play at 10 p.m. at the Bar in Boalsburg.

A Bald Eagle-area fall craft and gift fair is set to begin at 9 a.m. at Bald Eagle Area High School, in Wingate.

Santa is expected to appear at the Nittany Mall.

Sunday, Nov. 27

Community Events

Santa will be available to pose for photos with pets at a Centre County PAWS event. It’s scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. at the PAWS facility on Trout Road.

The Palmer Museum of Art will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Recent acquisitions are on display there; they include an intaglio by James D. Smillie, one of the founders of the New York Etching Club; a mid-15-century engraving by Flemish artist Philips Galle; and an early-20th-century mezzotint of lower Manhattan by Joseph Pennell.
