Scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St., the event is intended to be a day of celebration, fun and togetherness.

‘The State College community is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and respectful environment where all are welcome,’ according to a news release. ‘The Multicultural Unity Fair will recognize how our cultural differences enrich our lives and our community.’

Performances will feature Indigenous American storytellers Patrick Littlewolf Brooks and Emelie Jeffries; South American folk band Los Tikis; urban fusion dance group RAM Squad; Celtic dance club Rince na Leon; dance performance by Penn State Theatre’s Da Hyun Kim; singer-songwriter Eric Ian Farmer; Penn State Taiko Japanese drumming; Roots of Life West African dance and drums; belly dancing by Joy Robertson; and Mongolian dance by Happy Valley Chinese School.

Food vendors will include Cozy Thai Bistro, India Pavilion, Little Szechuan/Tea Time, Rey Azteca, Juana’s Venezuelan Cuisine and Taproot Kitchen.

Attendees also can check out or take part in cultural activities such as an international chat table, cultural exchange group, children’s story corner, international board games, diversity quilt, international flag display, and immigrant poems.
