Christmas isn\’t only a holiday for humans.
Whether or not they like it, plenty of pets don Santa caps and holiday clothing this time of year to pose for some Christmas photos.
Knowing that plenty of State College\’s cutest would be in front of the camera this month in their holiday best, we asked you — our audience — to send in your Christmas pet photos.
We received a lot of submissions and settled on our eight favorites. From puppies sitting with Santa to cats in Christmas hats, here are the best (and cutest) of State College\’s Christmas pets.
Merry Christmas and enjoy!

Meet Pippin! This adorable miniature goldendoodle got all dressed up for this beautiful picture in front of the Christmas tree.
\”Pippin recently turned one year old and tips the scales at about 15 pounds,\” Kayla and Alden Simpson said. \”His favorite activities include snuggling, watching YouTube videos of puppies, and walking around downtown State College in the summertime greeting people on the sidewalk (and occasionally stopping at Rita\’s for custard).\”
The Simpsons said that Pippin is \”hopeful Santa will remember that he wants a peanut butter Kong & a new stuffed animal in his stocking this year.\”
We have a feeling that Pippin\’s wishes will come true today.

Matt Shaffer sent in this photo of Grace, a frenchie, and Rocky, a dachshund/Boston Terrier. He said they got the chance to meet Santa for the first time this year.

Tina Gregory sent in this photo of Pepper and Jack with Mr. Claus himself. We can not confirm whether their names were inspired by a certain type of cheese.

Natalie Meckstroth sent in this photo of her baby girl. \”This is Lilly,\” Meckstroth said. \”She is a energetic playful boxer. She loves to play ball and has a heart of gold. She is the sweetest dog you\’ll ever meet.\”

Amy Smith sent in this photo of Johnny, an adorable gray kitty found in a cinder block with his siblings. \”He is now a loving indoor boy!\” she said.

While Harley\’s owner Melissa Brower admitted that her boy \”has NOT been good this year,\” she added that he is still expecting presents. And how could Santa possibly say no to such a cute dog?

This quarter of Christmas pets was sent in by Cris Salazar. Tux, on the left, has been raised by dogs since he was seven weeks old and acts like a dog. Next to Tux is Shi, who prefers people to dogs. \”He\’s a sweetheart,\” Salazar said.
The sleepy one in the photo is Ody, a three-year-old who \”is a cuddler.\” Last but not least is Lela on the right, who is just eight months old and plays fetch.
