THON 2010 has collected $7,838,054.36 for the Four Diamonds foundation to support children dealing with cancer.
After a full year of canning, promoting the organization and 46 hours of dancing in the Bryce Jordan Center this weekend, THON overall committee members held up signs announcing the total, to which the crowd responded with a mighty roar.
The total beats last year’s of $7.5 million, and Overall Chair Caitlin Zankowski said earlier she’d be thrilled about the amount, no matter how it compares to 2009.
‘We’ve raised millions of dollars for kids with cancer,’ she said.
