With only four days until THON weekend, students got in the spirit of giving on Monday by participating in THON’s “No Hair, Don’t Care” head shaving fundraiser. The sixth annual event drew long lines of students at the HUB-Robeson Center waiting to get their heads shaved in exchange for a $10 donation to THON.
“No Hair, Don’t Care” was started in 2013 by PJ Tatano — a freshman studying petroleum engineering who felt called to help out the cause. He began reaching out to big names on campus hoping to gain support for his initiative and was successful. The first to lose his hair that year was men’s basketball coach Pat Chambers.
