Coroner Identifies Woman Killed in Centre County ATV Crash

A 40-year-old Baltimore woman died after an all-terrain vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Snow Shoe Township, according to the Centre County Coroner’s Office.

Alisha M. Gladfelter, a native of York County, died of blunt force trauma after the rollover crash on the 400 block of Kato Road, Chief Deputy Coroner John Kubalak said.

Snow Shoe Fire Company reported on Sunday that emergency responders performed life-saving measures for more than 45 minutes before she was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation by state police at Rockview.

Gladfelter “lived each day with passion and purpose,” her family wrote in her obituary.

“She had a magnetic energy that lit up every room and made every gathering feel like a celebration,” according to the obituary. “She was known for her generosity, kindness and ability to make anyone feel like a friend. Whether she knew you well or had just met you, if you needed something and she could help, she would.”

Gladfelter worked as a bartender at several well-known establishments in the Baltimore area and enjoyed spending time with friends and traveling with family.

“Creative at heart and grounded in her Christian faith, Alisha expressed herself through her artwork,” her family wrote. “She was a gifted painter and found joy in drawing – her pieces reflected her vibrant spirit and unique perspective.”
