The National Weather Service has announced a tornado watch for Centre and surrounding counties Wednesday evening, according to a post on AccuWeather.com.
The watch is scheduled to expire at 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, a severe thunderstorm warning will be in effect for the area until 6:45 p.m. And a flash flood watch is in place until 8 a.m. Thursday.
A couple more thunderstorms are expected Thursday morning in the State College area, according to AccuWeather.com. Temperatures on Thursday are expected to be in the 60s.
