Interstate 99 northbound between exits 52 and 61 in Centre County fully reopened to traffic just before 6 p.m. on Friday, about 10 hours a tractor-trailer overturned near Port Matilda.
The crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. near mile marker 58 in Taylor Township, between Bald Eagle-Philipsburg and Port Matilda-Philipsburg exits. The condition of the driver has not yet been made available.
One lane reopened by 1:30 p.m., but the road was again briefly shut down at around 4 p.m. for the trailer to be turned upright and removed from the scene. A single lane again opened at 5 p.m. before the road fully.
During the closure, traffic was detoured at exit 52 to follow Old Route 220 and reconnect with I-99 at Port Matilda.
