Herwig’s Austrian Bistro on College Ave. is a restaurant known for its fresh food, authentic Austrian atmosphere, and large wooden sticks used to threaten those who don’t finish their meals.
Bernd Brandstatter, owner of the bistro, uses his “invasive dining” techniques to bring a unique experience to traditional Austrian meals.
We sat down with Brandstatter for an interview hoping to simply gain insight into his interactive dining philosophy, but it became much more than that.
