Friday, Nov. 22

Movies

Go see one of the most critically acclaimed movies about American history this weekend with “12 Years a Slave.” The movie is playing at the UEC 12 Theatre.

Bars and Clubs

At Otto’s Pub and Brewery, Miss Melanie and the Valley Rats will play at 9 p.m. There will be $2 Off growler fills from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and $2 off cocktails from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.

At the Darkhorse Tavern, JPRocks will perform at 10:30 p.m., and Happy Hour will feature half-price mixed drinks, draft beers and $3 Tonto’s Demise’s.

At Chrome, DJ Dru and Kollektiv will perform. Happy Hour will run from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. with $3 Smirnoff Flavors and $4 mixed drinks.

Saturday, Nov. 23

Even though it isn’t Thanksgiving yet, you can still start the Christmas season early. New Hope Lutheran Church, 119 Cobblestone Court, will hold a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Different vendors will have homemade soups, fresh hoagies and baked goods. There will also be a Christmas cookie shop!

Sunday, Nov. 24

The Pasto Ag Museum, 2710 W. Pine Grove Rd., will host an ice cream social Sunday at 1 p.m. The museum will be celebrating its final open house of the season, and visitors will be able to listen to interviews collected by WPSU at this year’s Ag Progress Days. Come spend your days learning about the history of agriculture.
