Film & Food Festivals
Come share in The First Annual Anthropology Film Festival at Penn State. This year will feature screenings of anthropological films and a discussion with Napoleon Chagnon. The film festival is free and open to the public! Come to 105 Forum from 12- 7p.m.
Experience Taste of India, a food festival featuring a variety of traditional dishes from different parts of India. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a wonderful array of Indian cuisine. Come to the State College Area High School Cafeteria at 5p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students.
American Indian dancers and Native Drum Groups from American Indian reservations and communities will travel hundreds of miles to State College for one of the finest Traditional American Indian Powwows in the Northeast, today and tomorrow at 11a.m. at the Mount Nittany Middle School. The powwow is free and open to the public.
Concerts & Performing Arts
TechnoClassica 2.0 featuring UltraMax & Penn State Innovation Orchestra, will perform techno interpretations of classical pieces at 8 p.m. at the State Theatre. The concert will feature pieces by some of the greats: Johan Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonio Vivaldi. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for students.
The 17th Annual Nittany Valley Handbell Festival will take place tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the State College Area High School, North Gymnasium. Music selections will include pieces written by a variety of composers using various styles and levels of difficulty.

PSU Baseball takes on Northwestern at 2:05 p.m. at Medlar Field.
PSU Women’s Gymnastics NCAA Regional Championships are tonight at 6 p.m. in Rec Hall.
Movies
It’s opening weekend for Date Night, starring hilarious duo, Tina Fey and Steve Carell. An ordinary, suburban couple get more than they bargain for when a case of mistaken identity throws them into a thrilling adventure filled with corrupt cops, a mob boss and a crazed cab driver.
