We’re expecting up to six inches of snow before the storm that plowed into State College overnight moves out of the area. AccuWeather says the snow will fall intermittently through the day Monday before tapering off sometime Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Weather Advisory which will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Be very cautious driving. StateCollege.com has been monitoring road conditions and as of late Monday morning it appears all roads in the area are snow covered. We’ve seen a lot of cars sliding — unable to get up steep hills.

Many sidewalks are snow covered. Residents have 24 hours once the snow stops to clear their walks.
Snow Emergencies have been issued for the State College area. That means all vehicles must be removed from the streets until the snow stops and the roads are plowed. Violators could be fined or towed.
Penn State has declared a “Midnight Clear” from midnight through 7 a.m. Tuesday. That means parking is banned at all faculty/staff surface parking lots on campus, including at Innovation Park. University vehicles should be moved to one of the parking decks or designated overnight parking areas. Long-term student parking lots are exempt.
