A 77-year-old woman died in a vehicle-pedestrian crash Tuesday night in Patton Township.
Patton Township Police were called to the intersection of Gray’s Woods Boulevard and Ghaner Road, near the exit 68 ramps for I-99, where the woman had been struck by a small SUV driven by a Port Matilda man.
Sgt. Sean Albright said the woman was wearing dark clothing and was crossing the road at the time she was struck. The Centre County Coroner’s office pronounced the woman dead on the scene.
The name of the woman was being withheld pending family notification, Albright said. The driver’s name also was not yet available.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Exit 68 of I-99 was closed for about two hours following the crash.
