Penn State Men’s Basketball Exodus Continues With Dom Stewart Transfer

The Penn State men’s basketball roster will look very different next season.

On Wednesday afternoon, guard Dom Stewart became the sixth Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal, according to a report by Sam Kayser. He joins Freddie Dilione V, Kayden Mingo, Melih Tunca, Eli Rice and Mason Blackwood in the portal.

The 6-foot-5 guard out of Ocean Springs, Mississippi spent the last two seasons at Penn State. Started 24 out of 32 games this season.

In his second season with Penn State in 2025-26, Stewart averaged 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22.5 minutes per game, an uptick from the previous year. The former three-star recruit was poised for a larger role next season with several other guards departing, but he’ll instead head elsewhere.

Including the graduation of senior Josh Reed, the Nittany Lions are without six of the team’s seven leading scorers from last season, with only Ivan Jurić set to return. Head coach Mike Rhoades and staff will need a heavy portal influx to replace the lost production.
