Penn State’s talent influx continues.

The Nittany Lions added a commitment from three-star athlete Josiah Zayas on Sunday evening, continuing a busy day filled with player retention, transfer portal and recruiting news in Happy Valley.

Zayas played both wide receiver and cornerback at Piscataway High School near Rutgers’ campus in New Jersey. He originally signed with Iowa State but was released and will follow head coach Matt Campbell and many others as part of the great migration to State College.

Zayas ranks as the No. 19 New Jersey native, No. 127 wide receiver and No. 907 overall recruit in the 2026 class and becomes the 12th member of Penn State’s class, which has jumped into the top 100 in recent days after being decimated before early signing day following the firing of James Franklin.
