Penn State continues to pillage Iowa State’s signing class.
The Nittany Lions secured their third commitment in 24 hours with the addition of three-star class of 2026 punter Lucas Tenbrock, another former Cyclone signee. He announced the decision on Sunday afternoon, two days after being released from his signing with Iowa State. The 247Sports composite rankings peg him as the No. 5 punter, No. 72 Illinois native and No. 2,817 overall player in the class.
Tenbrock is listed at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, putting him on the larger end for a specialist. However, that pales in comparison to current Penn State kickoff specialist/punter Gabe Nwosu, who checks in at 6-foot-6, 296 pounds.
Tenbrock joins three-star safeties Bryson Williams and Tyrell Chatman as recruits following Matt Campbell to State College, joining a historically small 2026 class that was ravaged following James Franklin’s firing. That trio joined the Nittany Lions’ two initial signees, four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone and four-star edge rusher Jackson Ford, moving the class up to No 139 nationally, though it still ranks last in the Big Ten.
