It was a quick decision for David Tarawallie.
The three-star offensive tackle committed to Penn State on Thursday evening, less than 24 hours after receiving an offer from offensive line coach Ryan Clanton. Tarawallie is ranked as the No. 23 recruit in Ohio, No. 53 offensive tackle and No. 598 overall prospect in the cycle, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
A native of Painesville, Ohio, Tarawallie is entering his senior season at Riverside High School, where he also saw some reps on the defensive line. He’s listed at 6-foot-5.5 and 260 pounds, leaving lots of room to grow at the college level.
Tarawallie held offers from numerous power conference schools and scheduled official visits to Michigan State, Cincinnati, South Florida and Wake Forest for this summer before landing an offer from the Nittany Lions.
Following the announcement, Penn State’s 2027 class is up to four offensive linemen and 15 total pledges, ranking No. 8 nationally and No. 4 within the Big Ten, per the 247Sports composite.
