Penn State football doubled down with a second recruiting commitment on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions added a commitment from four-star, class of 2027 wide receiver Landon Blum, who announced roughly an hour after three-star defensive lineman Carter Blattner joined the class.

Blum ranks as the No. 1 recruit from Iowa and No. 300 overall prospect, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He ranks as the No. 16 tight end recruit but is projected to play wide receiver in college. The Woodbine High School product is listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds heading into his senior year.

Newly hired Penn State wide receivers coach Kashif Moore is credited as the primary recruiter and has his first victory on the recruiting trail since joining the staff. Blum is the first wide receiver and fifth overall player to join the group, which now ranks No. 24 nationally and No. 9 in the Big Ten, per the 247Sports composite.

Blum received interest from a long list of schools, including Auburn, Miami, Iowa, Illinois, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State and others.
