Penn State Releases Availability Report Ahead of Pinstripe Bowl

Penn State’s final availability report of the 2025 season its also its longest.

The Nittany Lions will be without a long list of players ahead of the Pinstripe Bowl against Clemson, including opt outs, transfers and injuries. Safety Zakee Wheatley, running back Nick Singleton, tight end Khalil Dinkins, defensive tackle Zane Durant, defensive end Zuriah Fisher and offensive linemen Vega Ioane, Nick Dawkins, Drew Shelton and Nolan Rucci all opted out of the game.

Interim head coach Terry Smith confirmed running back Kaytron Allen would suit up on Friday, but he was listed as questionable on the report, the only player with that designation.

Additionally, cornerbacks A.J. Harris and Elliot Washington II, defensive end Daniel Jennings, linebacker Kari Jackson and offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier announced plans to enter the transfer portal and won’t participate in the game. Wide receiver Aaron Enterline and defensive end Chaz Coleman also announced intent to transfer but weren’t listed as out.

Players listed as out, likely due to injury, include quarterbacks Drew Allar and Jaxon Smolik, linebackers Tony Rojas, Alex Tatsch and Jackson Pryts, safety Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, wide receivers Kaden Saunders, Josiah Brown and Peter Gonzalez, cornerbacks Donte Nastasi Xxavier Thomas, defensive ends Max Granville, Bobby Mears, Jordan Mayer and Mason Robinson, defensive tackle Kaleb Artis and offensive lineman Brady O’Hara, Liam Horan and Owen Aliciene.
