Penn State’s next road trip won’t be an easy one.
Kinnick Stadium has given the Nittany Lions nightmares in the past, so it’s only fitting that game will kick off in the night window. On Monday afternoon, Penn State announced its game at Iowa on Oct. 18 will kick off at 7 p.m. EDT and will be streamed on Peacock. It will not air on a linear television channel.
It’ll be just the second night game for James Franklin and Co. this season, with the first being a 30-24 White Out loss to Oregon in Beaver Stadium.
The Nittany Lions’ last trip to Iowa City resulted in a 23-20 loss after starting quarterback Sean Clifford left the game in the first half with an injury. Though Penn State holds a winning record all-time in Kinnick Stadium, it’s just 3-5 since 2000 in the 69,250-seat venue.
Before the trip to Iowa City, the Nittany Lions face Northwestern at home looking to snap a two-game losing skid, while the 3-2 Hawkeyes travel to play a reeling Wisconsin squad as 3.5-point favorites.
