This is part of a series profiling Penn State players eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft, April 23-26.

In addition to his role as a kickoff specialist, Gabe Nwosu took over as Penn State’s punter in 2025 and was also in the mix as a kicker at one point. He was selected as a late addition to the Ray Guy Award watch list in September.

Towering over the special teams unit at 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds, Nwosu bombed 38 punts for an average distance of 46 yards, including a long of 68. He landed 15 boots inside the 20-yard line.

Nwosu didn’t participate in testing at Penn State’s Pro Day, though he kicked in front of NFL scouts with mixed results. Nwosu said he has “a lot of” meetings and visits scheduled with pro teams, and he’s gotten “good feedback” throughout the process so far.

“I’ve been working on just trying to be the ultimate spec, whether that be field goals, kickoffs, punts, being able to hold, whatever they need, I need to be that guy,” Nwosu said.

Projection: Undrafted
