There’s still hope for a night White Out game in 2024. Penn State’s Nov. 9 matchup with Washington, announced as the official White Out in July, will kick off at either 3:30 or 8 p.m. ET, the Big Ten announced on Monday. The broadcast network has yet to be determined, but it would likely be CBS for a mid-day start or NBC for prime time.

The last time the Nittany Lions hosted a White Out in daylight was on Nov. 21 2015, a noon kickoff that ended in a 28-16 loss to Michigan.

With Penn State’s consequential meeting with No. 4 Ohio State scheduled for noon on Saturday, fans haven’t shied away from voicing their frustrations with FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. If the game against Washington is given a 3:30 start, the concern from the general public is likely to only continue.

The Nittany Lions have hosted just one night game this season, a 21-7 win over Illinois. Over the week leading to kickoff, head coach James Franklin asked fans to bring “White Out energy,” which made for a makeshift, all-white production comparable to that of a traditional White Out game.
