The next stop in Beau Pribula’s college career has been revealed.

Pribula has committed to transfer to Virginia, according to multiple reports, marking a move with many intriguing storylines. CBS’ Matt Zenitz was first to break the news. Pribula, a native of York, Pennsylvania, began his career with three seasons at Penn State, where he played second-fiddle to Drew Allar.

With the Nittany Lions, Pribula was mainly used in special packages, adding a running threat Allar didn’t possess. When Allar went down against Wisconsin in 2024, Pribula played the entire second half and led Penn State to a comeback victory.

The quarterback completed 37 of 56 pass attempts for 424 yards and nine touchdowns while wearing the blue and white, adding 94 carries for 571 yards and 10 scores on the ground.

When Allar decided to return for his senior season in 2025, Pribula entered the transfer portal and landed at Missouri. He earned a starting role after Sam Horn went down with a season-ending injury in the preseason, ending a quarterback battle that had waged all offseason. Pribula went 182-for-270 for 1,941 yards, with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions, plus 95 carries for 297 yards and six rushing scores. He missed three games, but the Tigers went 7-3 in contests he started.

There were rumors Pribula could land back at Penn State with his final season of eligibility, and he was connected to several other schools in recent days, but he ultimately landed with the Cavaliers.

He’ll face off against former Penn State head coach James Franklin, as well as several other former Nittany Lions, in the Commonwealth Clash with in-state rival Virginia Tech. Former Penn State quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer was reportedly leaning toward transferring to the Hokies but has yet to make it official.

Additionally, Virginia is scheduled to face Duke, led by head coach Manny Diaz who served as the Nittany Lions’ defensive coordinator from 2022-23.
