It only took six snaps for former Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter to set social media ablaze. He’s been building hype throughout training camp after being selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, and the former Nittany Lion didn’t disappoint in the Giants’ first preseason game against the Bills.
On Saturday, Carter rushed the passer three times during his debut, recording quarterback pressures each time. Two of those came against offensive tackle Dion Dawkins, a four-time pro bowler. Carter also recorded a tackle in the game. Though it’s early, it’s a promising sign of things to come for Carter at the professional level.
