Penn State on Thursday evening announced a series of “exclusive fan experiences” that will take place throughout early July, featuring pop-up shops, a limited time ice cream flavor and photo opportunities.
The timing of the merchandise sales, which will take place in Pegula Ice Arena between July 1 and July 12, coincide with the Nittany Lions’ switch from Nike to adidas as the program’s official apparel provider, which goes into effect on the first of the month. Though adidas wasn’t specifically mentioned in the official university release, these pop-up shops could provide the first opportunity for fans to rep the three stripes.
Additionally, an exclusive, co-branded gift will be available with every purchase while supplies last, though no further details were provided. Dates and times for the merchandise sales are as follows.
- July 1: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- July 2: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- July 8: Noon-5 p.m.
- July 9: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
- July 10: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- July 11: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
- July 12: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Additionally, the Berkey Creamery will debut a new ice cream flavor available on July 1, 10 and 11 at the pop-up shops, as well as at the Creamery itself for the entire month of July. The flavor wasn’t revealed, but a photo included in the release appears to show a chocolate-based scoop.
As an added incentive to get fans back to campus next month, there will be photo opportunities with some of the program’s national championship trophies and other hardware on July 10-12 at Pegula Ice Arena, aligning with the pop-up shops on those days.
The headliners include the 1982 and 1986 football national championship trophies, the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl trophy, the wrestling NCAA championship trophy and the women’s hockey Final Four trophy. Also included are the regular season conference championship trophies and conference tournament trophies from wrestling, women’s hockey, men’s lacrosse and men’s volleyball.
The assortment of trophies will be available for picture opportunities during the pop-up shops at Pegula Ice Arena from July 10-12.
