Penn State football now knows its future conference schedules up through the 2028 season following an announcement of home and away opponents by the Big Ten on Thursday afternoon. The 2024 season marks the first year with 18 Big Ten Conference teams with the additions of Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington. Game dates for the 2024 season will be released later this year.
The Big Ten, as previously announced, will forgo the divisional format for conference play and instead send the top two teams in the conference standings to the Big Ten title game. The conference has protected a good number of conference matchups but Penn State has no such protected opponents in the new scheduling format.
