Penn State wrestling returns to action next month, and the defending national champions released their full 2023-24 schedule on Monday.

The slate includes six home duals at Rec Hall and a Monday night dual against Rutgers in the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions will begin their journey to the NCAA Championships in Kansas City on Nov. 12, when the team takes part in the individual round-robin portion of Journeymen Collegiate Classic at Freedom High School in Bethlehem.

They will then travel to West Point, New York for the Army Black Knight Invite individual bracketed tournament on Nov. 19. After that, Penn State heads home to host the NWCA All-Star Classic, an exhibition that does not count toward season records, followed by duals against Lehigh on Dec. 3 and Hofstra on Dec. 10. The Nittany Lions won’t wrestle another dual meet until Jan. 5, when they travel to Oregon State, but many Penn State wrestlers are expected to participate in the U.S. Senior National Championships on Dec. 15-17 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The first conference meet for Penn State will take place at home against Indiana on Jan. 14. The full 2023-24 schedule is listed below:

  • at Journeymen Collegiate Classic, Bethlehem — Sunday, Nov. 12
  • at Army Black Knight Invite, West Point, N.Y. — Sunday, Nov. 19
  • NWCA All-Star Classic (exhibition) – Tuesday, Nov. 21
  • vs. Lehigh — Sunday, Dec. 3
  • vs. Hofstra — Sunday, Dec. 10
  • at Oregon State — Friday, Jan. 5
  • vs. Indiana — Sunday, Jan. 14

  • at Iowa — Friday, Feb. 9
  • vs. Rutgers — Monday, Feb. 12
  • vs. Nebraska — Sunday, Feb. 18
  • vs. Edinboro — Sunday, Feb. 25

The road-dual against the Hawkeyes will be a highly anticipated rematch from last year’s sold-out dual at the Bryce Jordan Center, a back-and-forth battle won by Penn State.

Penn State closes out the regular season at home on Sunday, Feb. 25, against Edinboro.

The Big Ten Championship will take place March 9-10 in College Park, Maryland, where the Nittany Lions will hope to defend their title before heading off to the NCAA Championships from March 21-23. The championships will take place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
