The saga of Jerry Sandusky continues to take darker turns with each passing day. According to a report from Christian Red of the New York Daily News, the former Penn State assistant football coach was involved in a child prostitution ring.
The report includes an e-mail sent by Greg Bucceroni, who identifies himself as a “child prostitute,” and details an instance in 1979 when he met Sandusky at a fundraiser for the Second Mile charity that Sandusky founded.
“(Between) 1977-1980 I was a child prostitute associated with a tri-state (NYC-NJ-PA) pedophile ring. (During the) summer of 1979 I was brought to the State College area by [now-deceased Philadelphia businessman] Ed Savitz for the purpose of child prostitution with Jerry Sandusky at a Second Mile fundraiser,” Bucceroni wrote in the email. “Due to time constraints, Sandusky became unavailable and I was introduced to Phil Foglietta by Ed Savitz & Jerry Sandusky…Foglietta agreed to pay $200.00 for child sex and followed us back to a Philadelphia hotel, myself (sic)ad another child prostitute then engaged coach Phil in child sex.”
Back in June, Sandusky, 68, was convicted on 45 of 48 counts of child sex abuse. He is currently scheduled to be sentenced in a hearing on October 9, via Los Angeles Times, and is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison.
The Daily News article does not say Sandusky had any sexual contact with Bucceroni, though it does mention that in 1980 “an altercation between Bucceroni and Savitz that…destroyed any chances of him being accepted” into Second Mile.
Savitz, according to the article, died of AIDS in 1993 before he was set to appear in court for “multiple counts of sexual abuse.”
We will keep you updated on the situation should more information become available.
