State College grad Jaylyn Shelton-Burleigh has played a key role in Lock Haven’s women’s basketball team getting off to a 6-1 start.
Shelton-Burleigh is second on the team in scoring with an 11.3 average and second in rebounding with 34. She also has six assists, seven steals and three blocks.
WRESTLING
Cory Hazel (Penns Valley, Lock Haven) is 5-2 at 184 pounds for the Bald Eagles.
Brock Port (Bellefonte, Lock Haven) has an 11-6 record at 149 pounds. Lock Haven is 1-0.
Trevor Corl (Bellefonte, Lycoming) is 6-2 at 149 pounds. Lycoming is 2-2.
Seth Koleno (BEA, Clarion) has a 7-3 record at 133 pounds. Clarion is 2-2.
BASKETBALL
Zach Engle (Penns Valley, Juniata) averages 1.4 points and .8 rebounds. Juniata is 2-4.
Kyla Irwin (State College, UConn) averages 12 minutes per game
Cass Book (Bellefonte , Grove City) averages .8 points and nine rebounds, two assists and one steal. Grove City is 4-3.
Tommy Sekunda (State College, Seton Hill) has a 2.7 scoring average and three rebounds. Seton Hill is 1-5.
SWIMMING
Kirsten Hillsley (State College, Duquesne) placed 12th in the 200 breaststroke in 2:22.18 in the Magnus Cup meet on Nov. 18.
Seth Erdley (State College, St. Bonaventure) was 16th in the 100 backstroke in the Zippy Invitational at Akron University in :55.46.
